Just when you've forgotten all about the fun you had over New Year, and are back in the groove of working suddenly it dawns on you that it is only the end of January and there is still a loooooong dark stretch of Winter to get through. What better reason to gather with friends and family and put on a feast that celebrates that best of Scotland and the Scottish. Last Saturday night Charles and I went to Chris and Irene's house for a fabulous Burns Night Supper. We brought homemade bread and homebrewed beer, others brought soup and veggies. Chris and Irene made the star of the night - the Haggis. Charles, the only one man enough to wear a kilt was given the honor of stabbing the Haggis. I took a few photos.
